Service Overview

Thyroid cancer develops when cells change or mutate creating abnormal cells.  Once there are enough abnormal cells, they form a tumor. Thyroid cancer, if caught early, is one of the most treatable forms of cancer.
There are four main types of thyroid cancer; Papillary thyroid cancer, Follicular thyroid cancer, Medullary cancer, and Anaplastic thyroid cancer.

Examples of symptoms that may be caused by thyroid cancer include:

  • A lump in your neck
  • Vocal changes, including hoarseness
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Pain in your neck and throat
  • Swollen lymph nodes in your neck
  • Cough
